"Serpent Devourment" is the third chapter created without Swanö as the vocalist, though he remained in charge of production and mixing. The torch has been fully passed to Jan Bergmann Jepsen (ex-Cor Vacante). Having already proven himself on stage and in duets with Swanö on the previous album, Jan now demonstrates that his groove and aggression are a natural continuation of Maceration.
