More info

Fluoryne awakens from slumber after more than 15 years: Falk once again lifts the project to the skies, continuing his exploration of the boundless expanse of space - a theme he once shared with his former Vyre bandmates. To bring this ambitious vision to life, he has joined forces with Vyre’s vocalist, performing here under the alias Atom Phantom. Together, they have created an album that not only propels the listener beyond the boundaries of the Solar System but also erases the limits between genres, blending Black Metal, ambient, soundtrack music, trip-hop, Drum’n’Bass, and IDM.

"Transneptunian" is a vast 79-minute journey through 12 compositions, each named after trans-Neptunian objects and regions. It begins at Neptune and its moons (Nereid and Triton) before launching toward the distant reaches of space, ultimately arriving at the Oort Cloud. Throughout this odyssey, the listener is enveloped in dense ambient soundscapes, heavy doom-laden guitars, and harsh strobing riffs interwoven with breakbeats and predatory synthesizers. The album fuses technoid episodes, neoclassical motifs, elements of 2-Step, and almost orthodox Black Metal, all wrapped in a dark, engulfing atmosphere. This effect is further amplified by spoken-word samples inspired by the works of Chinese sci-fi author Liu Cixin, adding depth and a philosophical dimension to the experience.

Fluoryne is not merely returning - it is evolving, crafting a unique sonic tapestry where science fiction and experimental music merge into a grand odyssey beyond the known world.
