More info

The story of KHÔRA began in 2012, when Ole, previously known for his work with the project Autokrator, founded the band as a solo endeavor. A turning point came in 2016 with the recording of a demo, which marked the beginning of KHÔRA’s transformation into a full-fledged band with the involvement of permanent members.

The debut full-length album, titled TIMAEUS, was released in 2020. Its recording was enriched by guest appearances from musicians of well-known bands such as Moonsorrow, …And Oceans, Amiensus, and others.

Before work began on the next album, ANANKE, the lineup underwent significant changes. Vasilis and Lars were replaced by Frédéric (Orakle) and Jörgen (formerly of Setherial and Svartghast). They were joined by Kjetil (Profane Burial, Haimad), who took charge of orchestral arrangements. The renewed lineup was ready to channel all their expertise into crafting a new musical vision.

The album ANANKE was completed in 2024. This release stands out for its even more impressive roster of guest artists, all of whom are well-established figures in the metal scene. Among them are such iconic names as Rune ‘Blasphemer’ Eriksen (ex-Mayhem), Kristian Niemann (ex-Therion), Wolfgang Rothbauer (Thirdmoon), and André ‘Cosmocrator’ Søgnen (The Wretched End), among others.
