“ SHED THE SKIN is an experienced death metal band from Cleveland, Ohio, composed of underground scene veterans: Kyle Severn (INCANTATION), Matt Sorg (Ringworm), Ash Thomas (CRUCIFIED MORTALS), and Ed Stephens (Ringworm). Originally formed as a tribute to their late friend Tom Rojack of Blood of Christ, the band quickly developed its own distinctive sound.

Their fifth album, The Carnage Cast Shadows, continues to refine the band's signature style while introducing a darker sense of melody. The record explores themes of demons, nightmarish creatures, ominous omens, and sacrificial rituals drawn from various cultures.
