Six years after the release of their studio album Merciless Savagery (2019), the Dutch titans return with their most brutal and dark record to date — aptly titled Devoid of Light.

Crafted over the course of two and a half years, Devoid of Light sees ANTROPOMORPHIA unwavering in their vision: to weave together a vast spectrum of harsh musical textures — from fanatical, blind rage to misanthropic and nihilistic lyrics — infused with dark emotions such as anger, despair, pain, and more, all forged into bleak and oppressive sonic landscapes.

ANTROPOMORPHIA emerged from the foul breath of death in the Dutch city of Tilburg in 1990. At the time, they were pioneers, soon becoming a cornerstone of the Netherlands' brutal music scene. Despite periods of dormancy, ANTROPOMORPHIA steadily solidified their status as underground icons through a series of acclaimed releases. Their uncompromising approach and ever-expanding vortex of musical textures brought an increasing influx of black metal elements into the musical and visual DNA of the band.

Now, ANTROPOMORPHIA return with Devoid of Light to prove to the world that they remain as hungry as ever to push the boundaries of the death metal scene into new territory.
